About a week after I conceived, I could tell that I was pregnant because I felt some changes in my body. For example, I remember running to catch a train to work at the metro station and noticing that my breasts felt oddly tender. I brushed it off at first, but then I started to notice other signs of pregnancy in the first weeks, such as diarrhea and mild cramping. I suspected that I was pregnant, even though only a few days had passed since conception. And lo and behold, I took a pregnancy test and discovered that there was indeed a bun in the oven!
